To diagnose a work-related injury, we review your medical history and ask about the injury, including what you were doing when it happened and symptoms you may be experiencing. We then perform and exam and order appropriate testing such as lab or X-rays making treatment recommendations based on our findings.

Treatment of work-related injuries can depend several factors, including your age, the type of injury, and the severity of your symptoms. We may recommend:
• Rest, ice, and compression
• Taking medication for pain such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
• Steroid injections
• Physical therapy and rehabilitation
• Stress reduction
• Relaxation training
• Wrapping the area with a splint or a cast
We can also suggest changes to make your workstation more ergonomic, reducing the risk of a another/recurring injury. We may also make recommendations to see a specialist for additional evaluation/treatment recommendations.
